Worshiping God

L.A.P.s  “Worshiping God”:

Proclaiming His Power to Another Generation

Psalm 71:17-21

In last weekend’s message, Pastor Dave brought a message about worshiping God by proclaiming what He has done in your life.  Use this week’s Life Action Points to share with others what God has done in your life.

Monday:

Psalm 71:17  “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.”

Proclaim the deeds of God.  When God does something in your life, it’s your responsibility to share it with others.  That’s how we proclaim His wondrous deeds.  Who will you tell about God’s work in your life?  Get to it!

Tuesday

Psalm 71:18  “So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.”

Pray for the next generation: Who in your life from a younger generation needs to hear about the mighty things He has done for you?  Pray for that person for God to prepare them to hear.  Then look for the opportunity.

Wednesday

Psalm 71:19  “Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?”

Ponder the greatness of God.  The Lord is beyond comparison.  No one is like Him.  Reflect on the things He’s done that got your attention.  That’s the way God reached into your life.  Write them out and tell someone you care about, how God reached out to you.

Thursday

Psalm 71:20  “You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.”

Remember your troubles. In the darkest of times is when God can be seen the clearest.  He often uses the difficult seasons of life to do something great in the lives of His people. How has God used pain in your life to do something great?  Who will you tell about it?

Friday

Psalm 71:21  “You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.”

Trusting God with your well being.  The Psalmist trusted God with his greatness and to comfort him.  If you are going through a difficulty, one test of your faith will be how much you press for your own rights and restoration.  This is your opportunity to let God do the fighting for you.
