Children: A Parent’s Responsibility to Extend the Kingdom of God

In last Sunday’s message, Brian Ennis shared about a parent’s responsibility to extend the kingdom of God through their children.

Life Action Points for the Christian Parent/Guardian

  1. The realization the Christian parent/guardian must recognize; is that God has given children as a gift. To populate the word and teach them about their creator and purpose in life.
  2. The Christian parent/guardian comprehends God’s commands for their children and applies them as a veil of security to shield them against friend (immature Christians) and foe (nonbelievers).
  3. The Christian parent/guardian makes raising their children in a loving environment the number one priority; while completing the rearing process with consistent Biblical discipline.
  4. The Christian parent/guardian understands that parenting children is forever. Parenting an adult child is accomplished by respecting differences, imparting wisdom and experience without being critical, and relinquishing their adult child to the Lord.
  5. The Christian parent/guardian trusts and believes the promise of increase from God when they give their children back to Him. The basis of the trust comes from knowing that God gave first by sacrificing His Son Jesus Christ so that all who believe may have the gift of eternal life.
